Set up your Voicemail

Utilising Voicemail to inform customers of useful contact numbers or simply providing an update about your Christmas opening hours, can make all the difference for your business this Christmas.
With the right tech know-how, you can even get your voicemails to be sent to you via email. This will allow you to pick up any messages left on your desk phone while you’re out of the office.
Set up a call divert
If you have staff working over the Christmas break, set-up diverts from other team member phones to an alternative, whether that be someone working in the office or someone who is happy to receive calls at home.
Create a Christmas auto-attendant message
Update your auto attendant for the festive season to reflect your Christmas opening hours. You could set up two options – one for urgent enquiries and one for callers to leave a voicemail.
For example, you can ask your callers to select 1 for any urgent enquiries, that are then diverted to your emergency support option, or press option 2 to leave a voicemail for your team to follow up on in the New Year.
